Enogea was founded in 1997 in order to continue and rework the experience accumulated at “Ex Vinis”, the first independent Italian wine newsletter, published by Veronelli Editore, which I edited for many years.
After an initial phase which terminated in 2002, Enogea began publishing again in 2005, adding to the usual tasting notes, organized around specific themes, a more incisive style which aimed at reconciling professionalism and reading pleasure, seeking to confront important subjects with a healthy dose of irony (also directed towards myself).
Francesco Falcone, Giampaolo Gravina, and Mauro Erro currently collaborate with Enogea, and such authors as Burton Anderson, Paolo De Cristofaro, and Fabio Rizzari contribute as well.
Enogea is a bimestral, independent tasting newsletter which circulates in Italy and abroad (€58 in Italy, €70 outside of the country). Click here to subscribe. Available only in Italian.
